My Story

My first creative role after graduating from Loughborough University where I studied Industrial Design & Technology was for a leading Oxfordshire design consultancy, Thinkable Design Studio. I joined a talented design team creating solutions for a variety of clients including Zebra (Motorola) and Wave Optics, gaining valuable exposure in a fast paced consultancy. As part of a small team I was heavily involved in all stages of the development process working closely with clients and manufacturers.

Having developed an understanding of the skills and attributes required to deliver successful products I took up the challenge of joining the UK's leading DIY retailer, B&Q. I've always had a passion for making and felt B&Q would be a great opportunity to impact a newly established team. My role enabled me to influence product teams with design thinking and support building ranges across a variety of categories and own brands. Rapidly developing products gaining valuable experience and a deep understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.

I joined Kingfisher plc in 2016 as part of a new 'in-house' design team under the direction of Theo Williams. Our mission is to develop exclusive product ranges for the Kingfisher Group, Europe's largest DIY retailer (B&Q, Screwfix & Castorama). My current role has supported the creation of a design team with strong values and a clear direction, developing successful products ranges that have launched across Europe.
